Because we're not alive for a purpose - the existence of ghosts then HAS TO BE a lie, doesn't it?

We have happened via evolution rather than being put here - most people know/believe that. Therefore any supernatural existence is totally irrelevant, and with them 'coming back to finish something'. The ghost theories only fit if life were only a phase, and it isn't.

The ones declaring their incredible knowledge, your still WRONG though.

The conclusion you have reached is not a neccssary conclusion of your hypothesis, is it? Plus this topic boils right down to what people believe, so it's not really objective. We'd have to go into so many different questions, but you have assumed that it is true or we all agree that we are not here for a purpose. And even if we agree on that, we'd have to then talk about why a ghost might exist, and that could be for sooo many reasons besides having a purpose. Above all conjecture, however, proof is most important. So you see, you should have put more thought into the question.
But just FYI, I believe we ARE here for a purpose and that no, ghosts don't exist.
Only a monkey like yourself (ironically enough) would believe in something as absurd as evolution and then post a stupid question to boot.

No dude. The truth is, evolution only goes back so far. It doesn't go back far enough to know if we started off from a tiny organism and evolved into all the different species on Earth. I don't believe in the "god" putting a human on Earth shet either though, but I don't think anthropologists of exactly figured out where we came from exactly yet either. Perhaps aliens exist and an organism from another world made it on EArth and over the bazillion years, here we are. I dunno. But neither do they.

However, just b/c we believe "god" aka, "supernatural" doesn't really exist, doesnt' mean it doesn't. I just took religion/myth/witchcraft anthropology course and well, basically, the "supernatural" is all in people's heads. There's no proof otherwise; it can't be proved scientifically. And that's what separates the supernatural from evolution. They can't really be compared to each other b/c it's unlogical.

We may be here for a purpose. The can opener has a purpose for human beings, though the can opener may not know what its own purpose is. So human beings might have a purpose.

Anyway, the inference from this that ghosts are a lie makes no sense. If human beings exist, as you put it, without a purpose then ghosts could, equally, exist without a purpose.

We are definitely alive for a purpose! You may not believe it, accept it or like it...but we were Created by something that our minds can not conceive. I have found that something to be God. Yea, God...the same God whose Spirit led man to write His words that He placed in their hearts. If you have a Bible, read the book of Ecclesiastes. It was written by Solomon (the richest and wisest man to ever live). It is full of wisdom and I know that by reading it you will NOT think the same about this topic again. Forget about the wisdom of man and seekl to get the wisdom of the One that Created you!

However, there ARE demonic forces, as well as Angels of God, (spirits) that are active in the world today. All you have to do is turn-on the TV or read the paper. Also, stay away from illegal or illicit drugs, sex (outside of marriage) and alcohol. When you get involved in those things you are joining forces with Satan.

First of all, you are talking apples and oranges. One may or may not have anything to do with the other.
Alive for a purpose? I have pondered that one for years, and I still havent made up my mind.
As for ghosts....I believe that they are real, as much as I believe I am real.
Besides the fact that I had a girlfriend once who had a ghost living in her house (her mom confirmed this), there are a number of photos of ghosts that experts have examined and determined to be real and untampered with.
I could also tell you how my girlfriend, who had died at the age of 25, crossed over just enough to let me know she was alright, but I'd be typing all night.

Who said anything was for a purpose?
I believe we have a purpose, as humans on this earth, what that is, I have no Idea, probably never will. Cannot get over the fact that we have evolved purely out of chance, but I do not believe in God, so am confused by it all.
I think there are spirits, unfinished work, reincarnation etc. Why, I don't know. But it is what it is!

You didn't prove your own theory. But I do believe we are alive for a purpose; to do the best in life with everything we are. I use to be skeptical about 'ghosts' ( is 'ghost 'the right word for them? I have always wondered.) but there is something.

Existence is a permanent cycle, it is only the body that will die and decay. Ghosts in the way it is concieved in the conventional is probably just imagination.

Of course we are alive for a purpose. We are alive simply to live! Life only exists so things that are alive can live! I am confused on the ghost subject, i have no explanation for that.

Ghost do exist only you never quite see them because they are visions from the future travelling back in time through time travel only them being not in are dimension they appear in a ghost form all to do with time travel which will be invented through a time loop in the near future.
