simple answer, is double check your spellings and that the passord is spelt 100% correctly remeber Password and PASSWORD would be two different password.

the only other thing i can suggest is your account may have been hacked or there is a problem with your firewall that has been changed to block access to yahoo websites.

so first, check the firewall installed on your system, and fix if needed.
now try and sign in again. ok this solved the problem yes your done, no read on.
now try and just go to www.yahoo.com and now click sign in and enter your user id and password.
if this gets you in good. if not try clicking on the forgot link and fill in the details see if your account has been suspended or removed. has it been more than six months since you last logged in to yahoo with this ID?

and finally if the account is still locked then have the password (a new one) sent either to your registered alternate email address, or have it appear on screen.
if that fails, the only thing you can do is contact yahoo customer service and provide them with as much info about your accountr as you can, such as the last time you logged in successfully, how long you have had the account, if you pay for the additional email space for example when was the last date you made a payment, amongst a host of other questions. this can take up to a month to get your account back.

i know because i inadvertantly locked myself out of my account when i was using a wireless keyboard that was low on power and failed to register the password i thought i'd set.

Someone may have accessed your account (did you forget to log off?) and changed the password. Do a "forget password" and have them email you the ID/password or answer the security question then reset the password.
