I wanted to know what is a reasonable price for a Ford Tauras 95-96 transmission,used ,new,or from a savage yard.Also whats the labor on replaceing one?

A used automatic transmission from 95-96 is probably not a good investment, more often than not you end up with something just as worn as what you have now. A good remanufactured transmission would be a better choice. Check your local parts stores, from the dealer a reman will cost around 2,000 or a little more just for the transmission and another 9-10 hours laborat 74 an hour is 660 to 740 dollars for a ball park figure of 2800 dollars with fluid and such. An independant shop might have cheaper labor.

usually about 350.00 on a used transmission,,and about 150.00 labor to install it,,that's what i charge in my shop you should be able to get it done for this,,i hope this help,s.
