A baseball glove is hot insides, and the remove the glove to allow the hand to breathe and feel better. In addition, it cuts down on the moisture in the glove itself.

when running its easier to hold something so that when you run your fingers dont twitch.. it also makes you concentrate more about throwing your arms through while you run
