We are a skateboard association, who have been trying to raise money in Wis. Dells area. We are trying to build a outdoor skatepark for kids. There's nothing in the Dells for resident kids, unless they have $$$. We are tired of seeing kids getting tickets for skateboarding, when there's no place for them to go. We have done alot of fundraising; like bake sales, rummage sales, food sales, and we sell our own T-shirts. I would like to appeal, heartfully to any pro-skateboarder, to offer assistance. Does anyone know where I might contact the Tony Hawk foundation, or any other foundation who might help? We have gotten quite far, with alot of big donations from organizations in the area, but very little support from the town itself. Please no opinions on your dislike of the sport. Let's act like adults for a moment, and think of the kids, who have been out in the heat today, washing cars, because they want a safe place to skate.

theres not really any tonyhawk foundation. but I could help. theres a company called VOX. its a company that makes skateboarding footwear. if you go on the FAQ, it'll tell you that they can donate their products for a fundraiser ONLY if it benefits skateboarding. you are in luck because it just so happens that you are helping the skateboarding cause. now, you can go to the website and contact them about it. I don't know how the donating part goes but you can at least email them. and by the way, the park thats here in athens has good vert rating but bad street rating (vert is ramps like half pipes and quarterpipes. street skateboarding was the original way of skateboarding and is what the children get tickets for). so if you build a skatepark, make sure you get some of the children and teens and adults to help design this park. make them the ones that skate in the streets and are from beginner to pro (I hardly think that you will find a pro but mabe an amatur (sponsored). they will make suggestions for the street section. a cool thing to do is bring stuff like barrels, police guards, and other junk in the streets so the skaters can move them around. slopes and kickers are good too but make sure they can move them. extend the expiration if you can to recieve more answers. remember, everyone skates street so you don't want to put too much vert.
