This may not fit into the specific rules, but:
Ask your neighbors to donate things to you that they may no longer use (technically, this could be waste--I seem to have a basement full of it!). Then have a yardsale--make sure you tell people specifically what you are doing (as this could, of course, increase your "wealth").

u see there r a lot of ways in which u can make use of waste.say u have a basket full of newspapers.put it inside water and soak it nicely for a week or so.then crush it nicely in a mixie.u will have a paste.u can use it to build a model of a monument or a personality if u r good at it.u can also use candles.heat it till it melts and give it a fine stirring and mixing.if it is a white candle mixture a snow bound wonderland can be made.some other colour-then use it for a ice cream model.it works well and the real ones look less delicious in front of it.its all in u'r imagination.as time goes by u will see some bobbins and a small mount board piece turn into a wonderful race car.good luck

Actually I don;t know wether I could be of much help but from the place where I came from we have a saying that goes "Buy garbage and sell gold." Let me explain. People in my country they would go around or have people going around cuying cheap from people like scrap metals and especially wood peices that are used for construction sites and when they are collected, they use them to make other stuffs like pallets(for putting goods) and other cheap furnitures that actually very good to sell. And let me tell you that these people get rich very fast. But anyway this is just an idea, hope I could be of some help.

I would use the idea of telling your school to get a local recycling company to put a recycling dumpster next to the other garbage dumpsters at your school. This way you can earn money (wealth) for your school. They can buy supplies, or whatever they need, and the students can learn about "Wealth from Waste." I hope this helps!! :)

Try and show that most Northern countries are richer than Southern countries although they waste a lot because they live in a materialistic society where possessing things is a priority.

Many Big & Little opportunities for capturing $$ in using, reducing & cleaning up waste.
1. recycling--finished goods, materials , heat (energy)-Germans heat apartments with waste heat from power plants
2. energy capture -solar, heat, water (windmills! Power your TV with a generator kluged onto your bicycle & tone up!)
3. design more efficient processes (industry, autos, transit, housing, refrigerators)
4. clean stuff up (sewage, rivers, toxic groundwater plumes, contaminated soil, industrial emissions, lead & asbestos removal )
5. Entirely new & unexpected uses for worthless stuff (cocoa bean hulls for garden mulch! smells wunnderful! Art made from junk!)
I think you should have a tag sale this week-end! All that stuff in your parents/friends/spousal equivalents garage is just going to waste!

Do the same thing the guy did a couple of weeks ago. You know the red paperclip. He traded his red paperclip for something bigger then traded that something bigger for something bigger still till he ended up with at 45,000 dollar home in Alaska.
