Do you furnish your anole with plenty of calcium? His food can be dusted with calcium to improve his health. If that is the case, it may be too late. Try taking it to the vet. He will give the little fellow a shot of vitamins and a mild steroid that will help if it a vitamin or calcium defenciency. He also has to have vitamin d to help the calcium do what it has to do. You can get all this a a pet shop. It sounds like you have a green anole. I had one, bur my iguana ate him. The iguana was small when I put them together. The anole would bite him and show him a big red pouch underneath his chin. I guess the iguana finally got tired of being bullied around by him.
It looks like your green anole is suffering from a calcium defiency or his tail has been broken at some time. It also looks like he is beginning the first stages of a shed. He won't like it, but mist him a couple of times a day with warm water. This will help him shed better. They are illegal to sell where I live, without a special expensive permit. They really are cute. To me, they remind me of a shark in the face. Their eyes are mean looking, but they are not mean.

Could be getting ready to shed its skin, all lizards do this. It could also be afungus, you could try putting a little bit of FishMoxx (ammoxicillin for pets) in its drinking water. Just open a capsule & put maybe 1/2 into his water & do this when you change its water. You can get FishMoxx @ pet stores that specialize in lizards or you can order it thru Kv Pet Mags....asl ong as he's eating & drinking & not losing weight I wouldnt worry too much. Id try the Fish Moxx

most probably shedding. make sure the humidity in terrarium is high enough or make it higher than usual - it lhelps the process. i dont recomend wetting the animal directly - it can cause the skin to stick back, thats not good. after he is finidshed with shedding watch for remains of the old skin at the tail tip, at toes. a healthy animal should shed completely. good luck and read somethiing about sheding

He could be shedding, some need a bit of help so if it is very very loose lightly lift it off.
If it is not skin, shedding it may be a fungus!
