I think it is only a matter of time--a lot of time. This country legalizing pot would be an admission that the war was unjust and they do not want to look bad for that. They want to maintain their image. So I seriously think that it is going to take 100 years or more for the US to legalize pot.

I hope it proves me wrong. But they do not even DEBATE the topic anymore. It is just blindly accepted.

Of course it is a waste of time and money but these people feel the need to impose their BS moral code on others in any way possible. It is nothing more than product persecution.

I agree with the guy who said Holland rocks. A civilized democracy where natural things are legal. So simple... and it continues to run and even thrives. We are no longer the most free nation in the world, but we're too lost to even know it.

I so agree! It might be decriminalised some day, or have a status like alchohol, but the real problem is that the drug companies can't make $$$ out of it. Those pharmaceutical co.s have huge political, and very generous, lobbyists working behind the scenes to stop the legalizing of marijuana because a cheap and effective drug like this would rob them of money.

Let's keep speaking out about this.

Yes of course. We should spend that money on finding and prosecuting violent offenders such as child perverts and murders. Such a waste of precious tax dollars to spend money on potheads. And marijuana is a Sacred Herb in several religions. And of course it is a natural substance as well as a very healing herb for many of those suffering souls.
Such as waste! Maybe someone like John Walsh would agree to this as well.

Probably in about 30-50 years when our generation finally gets to be in power and we realize that most people either have smoked it or currently do smoke it.
