Covering freckles is a common makeup dilemma! If you have large "clumps", a light textured concealer - with good coverage (like the Shu Umera pencil concealers - the dual end means you have the ability to blend an exact match). Used sparingly, just enough to cover only the most obvious areas. Then lightly blend your foundation over the top, (try one shade darker than your natural skintone) to do the rest. Too much foundation will just "cake" and foundation too light or too dark will accent, rather than neutralise. Feature focus on your fav feature - a tactic to change the area of your attention! Sheer rosy cheek tint looks fab over pale freckled cheeks, while a bronzing stick illuminates more tanned complexions.

Aromatherapy may come to your rescue, as lemon essential oil is an acclaimed lightener - use sparingly so as not to cause skin irritation, but you can apply this oil neat using a cotton tip.

Another natural lightener is onion - however, this method is a bit dodgy, as I can't imagine the attraction of applying onion juice for cosmetic reasons... The smell alone tends to keep onion off the ingredients list of cosmetics...
Elder cream, part of Jurlique's special care, is designed to fade pigmentation, thanks to extracts of vitamin C and elder flowers.

Personally, I love freckles, and they come in and out of fashion like everything else, so go with the flow, and make the most of your natural assets! If you have freckles, your skin tends to be more prone to sunburn, so it is far better to look after your skin and always "cover up" (hat, sunscreen, I'm sure you know the drill :), as this will not only help your freckles from becoming darker, it will give you the long term benefits of protecting your skin from the suns damaging rays (a major cause of premature ageing).

We always scrutinise ourselves more than others so, rather than focusing on your freckles, find a foundation you are happy with (color, coverage, and texture), emphasise your cheeks, eyes or lips, and you will soon change your focus!

Have fun making up!
