It's all about isolating & using certain muscles.
Sounds like you are a couple, about our age...?! We looked into belly-dancing lessons. No joke! You can find some free info on-line.

They are both good exercise; & have some other obvious advantages. **wink, wink**

You can do a hula hoop. Hold the hoop with both hands. Begin moving your hips around and swing the hoop around and then let the hoop go. Move the hoop with your hips.

I used to be able to do the hula hoop and now that i am over 40, I can't do it either. I think you need a waistline!

The trick is a little waist...a lotta hip...and some good rhythm! If you got these things....you're never to old to hoola!
