Your belly will not be down until you at least get to your 6 week post partum checkup. Your pushing it too fast. You have to get all of your guts back into place and your uterus has to go back down to size. Nothing helps, just ignore it and soon enough you will be back to your old self.

Um, yeah. You can expect your belly to look like that for about 3 months. Your organs got all pushed out of the way to make room for baby and your skin got really stretched out. Did you think you would just spring back to the way you were before? If you didn't know your belly would change then I sure hope you know how much the rest of your life is going to change.
It will get better every week. After 6 weeks you can start exercising to get back in shape.

Oh, honey, YES, that is completely normal! Give your body time to heal! You have just been through an AMAZING ordeal and it will take many weeks/months before your belly flattens. After both of my pregnancies, I wore maternity pants for weeks! Breastfeeding is one of the best ways (for you and the baby) to take off those extra pounds...it's like your metabolism is in overdrive! Right now, relax and enjoy that new baby!

Give yourself a break you just had a baby. It will take awhile to get the extra weight off and to get you stomach straitened back up. Don't over do any strenuous exercising until you go for your six week checkup. You still have a lot of swelling from delivery.

depending on how big you got, it could take a while for the swelling to go down. As soon as your Dr releases you,, you will be able to to sit ups and work out to help get it back down. It also depends on if this is is your first baby, it is usually quicker if it is. For my 2nd baby, it took about 6 weeks to get my belly even halfway normal.

Breast feeding shrinks your belly faster. It makes your uterus contract. Your tummy took 9 months to get that way so it could take just as long to get back. But mine was usually better after maybe 2 or 3 weeks don't panic.

Congratulations on the new baby, mom. Relax. Your belly will return to normal (for the most part), but it will take about six months at least. Exercise will help speed up the process (walking, situps, etc.), but take it easy... you did just have a baby!

Some women take up to 6 months to lose most of the baby weight.
