Of course not all of today's youth are involved in it but the so called Gangsta culture is all about violence, hate and greed. Remember the 60's? Love, peace, hippies, Age of Aquarius? Can we bring a return to that? Is anyone interested or will you continue to pretend to be conservative uptight morans whilst your children are out being punks and ganstas?

Suspendor: unfortunately many people never grow out a violence..uhm did you notice the amount of wars and violence we still have? Hint: they didn't "grow" out of it.

Both cultures avoid(ed) facing reality. Escapism is common to each generation; if we long for a previous version, it's because we have glorified it in some regard.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't be happier with the hippies, though. Must be my generation showing again.

I am very sick of the gangsta culture to the point that it's depressing. However, I don't believe that the hippies were really happy either.
The only thing that will change our youth around is a relationship with Jesus Christ, which is what many hippies found out.

I'm not so sure about going back to the 60's way of life, however, I'm all for getting rid of the whole "gangsta" way of thinking.

I'm sorry, but wearing your pants halfway down your rear end is just stupid. Do you really think that someone doing the hiring and firing at some company is really going to take you seriously with your pants hanging off of your butt? I don't think so, Scooter!

I have 2 nephews who think that wearing clothes 5 sizes too large is "cool". I keep trying to tell them that no matter what they do, they'll never be able to steal anything because they'd be too busy trying to pull up their pants while trying to run away.

Well, at least the hippies wore clothes that fit, for the most part. And I feel compelled to mention that Paganism is on the rise, and you don't hear much about the Wiccan who was arrested for a drive by.

Peace, Love and Harmony baby
If you needed some thing and I had it ..It was yours.
Even if you were a stranger.

Now kids will kill there mother for a pack of cigs.
I think it all started in the Reagan years of Me Me Me.

Well those days are gone

Oh, they'll grow out of it... Those that live through it, at least. Kids today don't have any monopoly on hate and greed.
