I have had a few of these ecstatic experiences (over a lifetime) which came on their own to me, always when I was wide awake, so they were no twilight dreams or imaginations. I just wonder if someone out there, just ordinary folks like me, has SEEN and FELT the absolute joy of what I can only imagine to be Perfect Love or God.

Wonderful isn't it? Most people don't talk about these "peak experiences" much but they're quite common (not common enough for me!) The term "peak experience" comes from Abraham Maslow. I'm not sure that is the same thing meant by "bliss" or "peace that goeth beyond understanding." These are very personal, subjective experiences.

I prefer not to put a name or label on it; but I'm very glad for you that you were lucky enough to experience it. Sometimes it's a big relief from our suffering.

Once while lying on the hood of my car by a pristine pond listening to the Doors and Pink Floyd on tape, I saw writing in the sky with messages I'm sure were divinely inspired. I believe universal truths were there...but never was able to remember all of the message by the next day. Unfortunately, it didn't occur to me to write them down at the time....

Another time in a dream, I was wandering into a school building....in a disembodied state. The building had large windows on the 3rd floor overlooking a huge grassy hillside with beautiful forests about 1/2 a mile away. A woman was waiting for me dressed in a long simple dress. She was the most beautiful, calm yet attractive woman I can ever remember seeing. We didn't speak, I just saw her there and the dream ended. I do remember she had long light brown hair, lightly tanned complexion, I think green eyes....fine features as in defined straight nose. I had the dream 3 months after my mother died...almost 6 years ago now and I still remember the peace I felt when the dream ended.

Hope that helped.

Yes!! JESUS DOES, THE HOLY GHOST DOES, MY FATHER GOD DOES, LOVE US!!
ONE time, it was like I was WHISKED out of a TRUCK, by the back of my SHIRT, and seat of my PANTS!! THAT hhappened back in '98!! AND I'M STILL not over it!! EVERY time anything happens that doesn't make sense in THIS life, I GO BACK to being in that truck!!

ASK me about it, and I'll TELL you!!

ALSO, the NIGHT I WAS SAVED!! I didn't think that I could BE saved, and JUST as I THOUGHT that, I went into a CLOUD like the apostles in Mark 9:6, and a voice said in the cloud, "Yes, you can. You have a friend, Jesus."

No, I don't believe in a supreme being that rules over the world commanding everyone just to please him.

But I had special experiences with myself, the time I fell in love with astronomy and science, the time I dyed my hair red ((that was weird lol)) and the time I first perfected a front flip on the trampoline = )

That is fortunate for you.

I did have a talk with Jesus on the evening on January 31st, 1987.

Whenever you say something like that, people roll their eyes and think you are nuts.

I was filled with a revelation and heard words that were not my own. Jesus told me what to do in my life (this is critical, not with my life, but in my life).

Yes, after my mom died, something happened to let me know she was ok. And, I was overwhelmed with a feeling of peace and love.
