Here's a couple of things I (or friends of mine) did:

Car Wash attendant. No food, keeps you moving, and you might get some good tip money out of it.

Video Store Clerk (or movie theater): Lots of kids his age, and he's probably into movies right now anyway.

Family Recreational Center: Some place that does mini-golf, or batting cages, or go-karts. While it will have a concession stanad, there will be some jobs he can do that won't involve food.

Laundromat: If he's mature for his age, he might find a mom & pop that's looking for someone to work a Sat Shift (open to close). That shift almost always goes to a young person.

Office Clerk: In particular, I worked for a large insurance firm part-time pulling files for a case manager. It also requires you to dress a little more smartly, so if you're wanting him to "clean up his image", this might be a type of job worth pursuing.

There's a few things to look at anyway. If you don't like any of those, you may also consider what his hobbies or interests are right now, and think about where he goes to supply those, and those would be good job opportunities, because he already knows about the industry to a certain degree.

Lifeguarding during the summer is what all three of my kids did when they were teenagers. They loved it. One of them managed pools at a country club all the way through college. Another good first job would be to work at a church camp somewhere even if it is in the kitchen. The work is fun and light hearted and you usually have camp privileges after work. One more idea ... a department store or a store in the local mall. Good luck ... I hope you find something you like!

Check with family members and see if any of them have a job opening for you. I know that we hire teenagers in our business as they seem to be so up to date with computers and scanning
files and seem to be much quicker @ data entry than our older employees. But it would probably need to be someone that has to know you are responsible ...so check with family 1st.
Good Luck
