They don't have to DOWN GRADE to Apple's Firefox. If you refuse to UPGRADE to the wonderful Windows then you don't get to participate. Simple as that!

I'm a Mac user, and yes, your frustrations with Yahoo!'s Mac support is understandable. But I've seen over the past few weeks some remarkable improvement.

The new Yahoo! homepage wasn't working with Safari, but recently has been made compatible. I'm using Firefox for Mac OS X Tiger and I'm able to view the new homepage as well as the Yahoo! Mail Beta which is starting to look and work great on my PowerBook.

My real beef is with the videos on their homepage which completely fails on launch and their refusal to support Mac for their Yahoo! Music service.

And it has nothing to do with Mac's smaller installed base because other portal sites like Google and MSN have full Mac support. It's simply a corporate culture that's not as enlightened or progressive as it could be. But I think we should give them a chance to improve as they seem to be turning around slowly and taking notice of us.

Some advice: I'm no Microsoft fan, but I'd tone down the whole "downgrade to Windows" thing just to keep the peace with our two-buttoned peers.

apple mac users choose to set themselves apart. they have the technology to make themselves compatible with real computers. they can write their own Yahoo software if they want to be so distinct, because Mac users know that they're smarter than everyone else. good bye from all your friends at the new Yahoo. enjoy living in a world inhabited only by people like yourself.
