I am creating an alien language and I need help on the following:
How the words are put together
What the words sound like
Any other information I might need
The creature I am making the language for are called "Yautja" and are the alines in the "Predator" movies aswel as AVP. They are aggresive, cast-based hunters using high technology to hunt different species.

Some things to start working on:

Your language's lexicon--what are the ideas that you want to represent with your language? What words do you plan on using? I would start with a basic rough dictionary of nouns (for example, off the top of my head: shlek=hunter). Go ahead and develop some basic verbs, while you're at it.

Then, move onto a grammar and syntax. Is your language going to be Subject-Verb-Object ("I opened the door") or not. Essentially, decide how you want your basic sentence to be set up. Other things to remember when dealing with grammar and syntax: how do you pluralize words? How about different verb tenses (past, progressive, present perfect, imperfect...there are a ton).

Next, you can probably move onto creating a little more complex sentences. Do you want your adjectives and adverbs to modify your words, or do you want them to actually become a part of that word (called agglutination).

And finally--how do you pronounce your words? What sounds are used? What sound combinations are used? Are there any sounds that your language doesn't have?

Anyway, I just realized that I'm a huge linguistics nerd. Good luck with your language--I'm really interested to see what everyone else has suggested!

You can make it up by using another language and mapping your sounds onto that grammar base or you could just fake it. the thing is to avoid it sounding like English because of the basic sentence structure. so try mixing up or reversing the normal verb and noun order.

pictograms are the easiest. so that could be how your words look like. then they can be pronounced in a fixed way in which the letters are jumbled up, or perhaps read back words. for example watermelon can be nolemretaw, or maybe you can distort it further more to make it sound like gibberish.

have fun :) (or nuf evah!)
