excuse me for the language but I don't have any better anology.
making comparisons between Reps & Dems is like comparing burb and fart.
They are both of the same root (gigantic corporations), They support the same side (usually jews), they fight over the control of the media on their own favor.
They have the same ideology, but different ways of applying it.
The least they care about is the benefit of public, because they are made to serve their masters.
Lower taxes or higher taxes do not really matter. Fundementally the high levels of society skip the taxing system by employing lobbies, so the impact is mostly on the middle and lower class.
Add the stupid electoral system to my previous sentences to discover how much the US system malfunctions.
It's one of the rare cases that minority can win over majority (however symbolically it's true, because eventually the corporations win over public)

One (Democrats) think this country was made great by the government, and want to constantly expand it. The other (Republicans) believe the people make this country great, and think that government should stay out of the peoples business. i.e. less government regulation of industry, etc.

Republicans tend to distrust and want to minimize government, and advocate individual responsibility. Democrats see government as a tool for solving society's problems, and put less emphasis on individual responsibility.

republicans are RIGHT and democrats are WRONG

actually, if you believe in a strong national defense, low taxes, limited government, anti-abortion, God, personal responsibility and American exceptionalism....you're a REPUBLICAN.

if you believe in killing babies, supporting the lazy, pacifism, anti-religion, socialism and America is what's wrong with this world, then you're a DEMOCRAT.

Who cares? Both parties have been swapping power at the federal for about 150 years and both parties have nothing but a track racord of failure and partisan politics, highlighed by a few glowing achievements.
