I started waxing my legs about 15 years ago, and I'm still at it..in between waxing, I still have to shave, because the hair is so think, you can actuall see the "openings" for lack of a better work...even when i wax, you can see the place where the hair grow out...hard to explain especially if you don't have think hair folicals, you would think by now,,, the hair would be thinner,,,but no...it is something that runs in the family, my 10 yr old has it, my sister has it...( mom does't !!) of course. I have tried creams like veet, and the didn't remove from below the surface like advertised. I have been getting some "bald" spots on my legs,,,but in the summer, I like to wear skirts,,,also because of these thick folical openings...when i use tanning cream, the cream builds up in that and makes it look worse...can't afford lazor...any advise

Your doctor may be able to help. It could be that you have a hormone that produces this and no matter how much waxing you do it still comes back the same. There is medication that can help you to control that and get rid of the hair permanently.

Good luck!

Every time you wax, you rip your hairs out by the roots. This makes the hair roots "become determined" (for lack of a better idea) to not get ripped otu next time, and the roots grow deeper, fatter, larger, and even will curl and distort themselves to prevent the next rip-out. This is a vicious cycle that causes hair to thicken and coarsen, not thin. Your follicles are also large b/c they hairs are ripped out.

Stop waxing! Start shaving, and exfoliate a day or two after shaving. (not same time!) Rinse legs w/ cold water to close follicles. This may never go away, however, b/c of your long history of waxing.

And check the prices of laser. You may find that 10 waxings cost about the same as 5 laser tretments, and laser is permanent.
