I know you will need to see pics but in the ball park range I would like to know how much it costs an insured expert to point a late 1700's section and early 1800's section of my house. I can send pics via email if need be.

oh and no 12 yr olds answer please ...I'm asking a ball park before I ask a contractor because I got screwed over in the past. thank you for your help kirk letting me clerify that.

No one can give you a definitive answer based on the information given. Best advice is to get several estimates, and this time, do your homework before you sign a contract. Check out the contractors references by looking at other jobs he has done and talk to the homeowners. Check them out with the Better Business Bureau and see if they have been reviewed and rated on AngiesList. Make sure they have been in business a reasonable length of time, don't give anyone a large downpayment, and don't write the final check until the job is done.
Make sure that they carry laibility insurance along with worker's compensation. Make them furnish you with a Certificate of Insurance proving the coverage.
In the end, there is no substitute for doing the preliminary legwork before hiring a contractor.
