Kaplan is excellent!! they helped me a LOT. I took a pre-test before I started studying for the SAT, and didn't do so hot.
I took one after i took a course and did the practice book, and I did MUCH better. Because of that I got a full tuition scholarship at a good school.

The sat is not an accurate messure of intelligence, so skip the sat and goto a school that does not use the sat for admitting.

Or even better, go to a community college for two years and get an aas degree and 90 transferable credits. Its extremly hard for a college to not addmit you if you have 90 transferable credits and a college degree, which an aas is. Matter of fact, in the state I live in (wa) its law, universities have to addmit students who have an aas degree.

kaplan is supposed to be INCREDIBLE. My friend, when she took the specialized high school test, used kaplan. She got a 580 out of 600 points. That is a mind blowing score, because usually im a LOT smarter than her, but I got 545. Try it!

ehh... kaplan is ok, i guess. I had those little study books they made and i hated them and thought it was utterly pointless. But different people learn differently.

If Kaplan doesnt work for you, then get a Barrons SAT Prep Book. Be sure u get the prep book for the NEW SAT though.

I don't think kaplan is very good. It didn't really help me that much.
for the SAT I i use the colllege board book.
but for the SAT II subject tests
i use princeton and barrons. Barrons is a lot harder than the real SAT II test so its would be helpful.
