I was just wondering, because I was thinking about getting one of them done.

I've had both done, and still have my nose piercing.
Both hurt, but not too bad. My tongue was more of a discomfort. My nose, stung. My eyes watered up a bit, but it really wasn't a big deal. Neither ever got infected, or gave me problems of any kind. The day I got my tongue pierces, I went home and ate dinner. When it got sore, I would take some Advil, and suck on ice cubes for the swelling (it used to bug me at work, because I worked in daycare, and had to talk all day long). I took out my tongue, because my teeth were starting to hurt (I grind my teeth in my sleep, and the barbell was going between). I have had my nose pierced for five years, they pierced it with a hoop (Hideous!) and four days later I took it out and put in a little itty bitty nose stud. I love it. This piercing, I will probably keep until my face is sagging!! (Which won't be for a VERY long time).

Five years ago, I got my nose pierced. I went to a place where they use a needle (some use a gun). I did not expect it to hurt as much as it did. Going in was painful, but pulling the needle back out, was incredibly so. My eyes watered and I got dizzy. I actually had to sit for about 15 min. in the piercing place before I got my bearings about me to drive properly. I have never gotten my tongue pierced, but I imagine that would be even worse. I loved my nose piercing, but my job (teaching) required that I remove it.

I've had my tongue done before and the piercing itself doesn't hurt but the healing process does. I'm going to get my nose done next month though. I can't wait. Why not get both? Good luck!

Tongue piercing is unsightly and unsanitary and makes you talk funny. So if you are really choosing, go with the nose. Also tongue piercing will hurt a lot more.

I'd prefer the nose. I have it done myself. It don't hurt at all. It was my first piercing. I have never had my tounge done before, but it looks like it hurts. Plus after you get your nose pierced you can talk and eat whatever you'd like.

I had my tongue pierced, and I liked it. It didn't hurt to get it pierced, just hurt when the piercer pulled on my tongue to screw on the bead to my barbell. It was sore for a couple of days afterward, but it wasn't bad at all. Getting my navel pierced was worse.

My daughter got her nose pierced and ended up taking it out. Seemed like every time she washed her face, put on her makeup, touched her face, she was knocking into it and she just got tired of it ouching! I'd think the tongue would be worse! Good luck!
