I have these teenage neighbors who are totally annoying. What is wrong with the teens today? They are rude, loud and ignorant. They are running in and out of the house screaming all hours of the night. Then their little boyfriends are just as bad. They keep trying to break in to my husbands car, throw soda on it, and alot of other things. Today I was walking a family friend to the end of the street and I see one of the teens with her boyfriend...he starts calling me a B**ch! and she just starts laughing. At first I didn't know that they were talking about me, but my husband heard the whole thing while he was sitting near the window. I am not that old (27), I don't look odd or anything. Why do they seem to hate us so much? Should I approch their parents about this behavior?

Well my husband heard him, and is very annoyed with their antics, but we have agreed to not stoop to their level. And their parents don't know how they act because they are hardly ever home. I don't know if they work or what but the kids have the run of the house. We live on what could be considered a suburban street in the city. Only middle age, and us live there untill these hooligans moved in.

Oh Boy, I'd hate to have to go through that, but u may want to have a talk with the parents of these kids. If that don't work then u need to go to Ur local police department and make a complaint, make sUre u tell the parents ur gonna go to the police if they don't keep they're kids under control. Because u shouldn't have to go through this, these kids should show respect for adults.
And as parents u would think they would know where they're kids are and what they're doing.
So, go to the parents tell then whats going on, if this falls on deaf ears, then go to the landlord and or the police to tell them u have done everything to make it better, but the parents are not doing anything.
I hope things work out in Ur favor, kids today just have NO respect for adult because they either haven't been taught or they just need a good scare to let them know that what can't get away with being disrespectful.
Don't let them scare u( U the adult) they are the kids so do what u have to do to make u life a little easier and so u can feel safe in ur own home and neighborhood.

I don't believe all teens behave that way, but there are definitely some who do. You can try to talk to their parents, but I think it may just cause you more problems. They learned that sort of disrespect somewhere, and my guess is the parents played a big part in it. If they are running in and out of the house and screaming all hours of the day and night, then their parents probably already know what they're doing. Confronting them will only cause you more problems. If they are causing you property damages or are threatening you in any way, call the police. Sometimes that's all you can do.

No you should call the police next time anything happens and talking to there parents will not do anything because they are more then likely trash if there children act like that. Do not feel bad for calling the police either, they need to be stopped, not all teenagers are like that they will be the same little basters you kill you 5 years from now for 10 dollars for some crack

They probably dont have very good parental supervision. I dont know why they hate you so much, however if it happens again (the car thing) call the police and fill out a report. Also talk to their parents about it. If it gets really bad try talking to them if you havent already. They probably just want some attention.
