I want to go to grad school and do research in biology, but i don't know whether it'd be best to go to undergrad school and get a BA or BS in biology.

if you're going into a science field you will not get any respect with a BA

Most biology degrees are BSs -- since biology is a science.

But the fact is that a BS in biology and a BA in biology are really the same thing. The quality of the school is more important than BA vs BS.

If you are at a school that offers both a BA and a BS -- then the BS will be better if you want to go to graduate school. You might take the same biology classes for both -- but the BS will require you to take more science outside of your major -- which will help you in graduate school.
