Yes, just like any other age group of women, just the girls in this age group usually don't know it because they aren't trying to get pregnant. I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was...if I remember correctly, 15, and one of the major effects of that is infertility.
However, being infertile doesn't mean that you can't have a baby, it just means that it might be much harder for you than for others. I do have a 5 1/2 month old son, who was conceived without any trying. But some women may try for years without any luck, and have to have a doctors help.
If someone was diagnosed as being sterile, that would mean that they couldn't have any children.
Oh, and in response to Tweedle Dee- I also wish that people would just answer the bloody question. They don't have any idea what the motivation behind the question might be.

It concerns me as to why you would be asking this question. I think you should be talking to a Doctor if you are concerned that you have not started to menstruate yet? I doubt any sane person would diagnose a 13 - 16 year old with infertility it is way too young. It would be delayed development if anything.
If you are considering having sex you should really speak to a Dr as you do not want to see one so young make an uneducated mistake.

Fertility problems can happen to anyone, but someone that young should not be having sex in the first place. This is the time in your life when you should be enjoying being a kid, with no responsibilities, hanging out with friend, going to the mall, movies, etc. The younger girls are when they start having sex, the higher the chance of getting pregnant, or even worse...getting a deadly or untreatable STD. Young girls should not have to worry about that...no sex = no worry.

Yes, some women are born without eggs, without ovaries, with chemical imbalances and can have many other things that can cause infertility from birth or a young age. Males can have either no sperm or a low sperm count; or many other things (also imbalanced hormones).

If you're between the ages of 13 and 16 you don't need to be asking this question. Your mom is worried about you if you're even questioning this!!

dont you wish people would just answer the question instead of all the other details they throw in? As long as you start your period, age does not matter. I started my period at 9 years of age so i could get pregnant at 9 years old. Weird huh? I hope that is what you were askin!! Hope this helps

Yes, a teen can be infertile. See your doctor to be sure. I hope you are not thinking of having a baby. Did you know there is a death rate for having babies and it's much higher for teens?

I'm sure anyone can be infertile. At that age, though, noone should be trying to find out the hard way.

Anybody can be infertile due to hormonal imbalances, blocked tubes, etc. I hope you are not of this age and asking because you want to get pregnant?

Its a possibility that you could be infertile but I wouldn't lose faith cause it could just be that its not the right time to get pregnant or something you never know just keep trying. But not just because it could in ur genes or something.
