i want to run a gas line out to my grill. I will run under my deck at one point . what kind of pipe do i use to tap of of the existing (black pipe) line.

u can use copper flex tubing for this but u need to be really careful about purging the line and using water/soap mixture to check for leaks.....plumbers cant install gas lines by law/code, has to be a hvac or gas company!

You should find out what your local code is because it could vary.
so once you know whats required , figure out how you are going to run it and go buy the parts. any local hardware store could help you find the right fittings.
