Your iguana will be ok. He needs turnip greens, mustard greens, shredded carrotts, shreddedzucinni and yellow squash. These vegies all have the minerals and vitamins. Once a week, add a little vitamins to some grated vegies. Their stomaches can digest food fairly fast. The temperature you keep him will determine how hast he digests food. If he is warm he will digest very well. He must be tha right temperatur, or he wouldn't be hungry. Greens shrink after they are put in a bowl. My iguanas are always laying on their limbs basking with their bellies hanging over the edge. Don't feed him again until tomorrow.

Your fricken diet for your iguana is totally WRONG! If, you are just giving your iguana collard greens. This is what iguanas should be fed: Dark Leafy Greens: collard, mustard, turnip greens, dandelion leaves, occassional spinach and endive leaves. Vegetables: broccoli, green beans, carrots, snow peas, sugar peas, sweet potato, and butternut squash. Fruit: strawberries, blueberries, rasberries, mango, banana, peaches, apple, nectarines, and grapes.

One other thing iguanas need a lot of attention when ever you go on a vacation whether it be one day or one month you need to get a reptile sitter. If you don't well the food won't last and your iguana will get very bored and aggressive with you when you return or even worse your iguana might die.

My son had an iguana. I never knew the iguana to over eat. You should take him to a vet that specializes in exotic animals.

No, most Iguanas that I had before, since I worked in a pet shop for over 6 years before, to my knowledge, they stop when they are full.

They also need alfalfa pellets and vitamins. Go to www.anapsid.org for the best info on the "Iguana Salad".

i have had iguanas before. i would say feed him half the regular amount that you feed him for about two days, maybe three, then, if his big belly hasn't gotten smaller, you could consult a vet.
