Tell your friend the only thing that is wrong is judging people based on their sexual orientation and not their character.

FAQ info from PFLAG page: Is there something wrong with being gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender?
No. There have been people in all cultures and times throughout human history who have identified themselves as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender (GLBT). Homosexuality is not an illness or a disorder, a fact that is agreed upon by both the American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association. Homosexuality was removed from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of the American Psychiatric Association in 1974. Being transgender or gender variant is not a disorder either, although Gender Identity Dysphoria (GID) is still listed in the DSM of the American Psychiatric Association. Being GLBT is as much a human variation as being left-handed - a person's sexual orientation and gender identity are just another piece of who they are. There is nothing wrong with being GLBT - in fact, there's a lot to celebrate.
What is wrong are discriminatory laws, policies and attitudes that persist in our schools, workplaces, places of worship and larger communities. PFLAG works to make sure that GLBT people have full civil rights and can live openly, free from discrimination and violence.

No it's not wrong. Its just the way some people are born, or turn out. Neither wrong nor right, just the way it is. And Disgusting? No. A lesbian loves another woman. But LOVE is a good thing.

Why would we in the GLBT section think its wrong to be a lesbian? Of course we're going to tell you its not disgusting nor wrong. So, if this is your blind poll, the tally is in that no it isn't disgusting or wrong, is a majority.
And honestly it isn't disgusting. We have a tendency to take better care of ourselves down there for another woman, than a woman would do for a man.

People are gay or lesbian, regardless of the opinions of other people. Just as people are left handed, regardless of the opinions of other people. If your friend is a lesbian, she is, regardless of what people say.
If she is a lesbian, the only question is how she will act and conduct herself when faced with people who have a negative opinion of gay people. Every gay person has to make that decision for themselves.
It sounds like she trusts you very much, and if she is considering coming out, she will be counting on you to be her friend through this difficult time. I hope you will be there for her.
I wish her good luck, and I wish you the strength needed to see her through this. Take care, both of you.

It's certainly not wrong. Who is the victim?
Disgusting? Maybe in some eyes. I would beg to differ, but the sad truth is that lesbians are going to run into a lot of people who find them disgusting. In turn, I find those people disgusting, of course, but that's not much help to your friend.
The bottom line, in my opinion, is that your friend should to her own self be true (to borrow a phrase).

Wrong, maybe to all the bible thumpers out there! But that is just how we love and so I don't think there's anything wrong with finding someone you love and being happy. No matter the gender. I don't think that any form of love and commitment is wrong or disgusting.

I don't think any form of sexuality is wrong or disgisting, so long as there is mutual consent and no harm being done. Everyone has their own opinion, but when it comes down to it, you must simply stay true to who YOU really are and what YOU believe.
Best of luck.
