I have a daughter about your age and I hope and pray she is as sensible as you seem to be about the boys.
To answer your question, puberty sort of "hard wires" thoughts of sex into the brains of boys. I joked once that men only think about 3 things-food, sports and sex, and are happiest when combining at least two of these thoughts. (example--watching football while eating nachos and hoping to get a glimpse of the pretty cheerleaders...)
The trouble is, kids now have easy access to R rated movies, Mature-rated TV, sexy music videos and all kinds of Internet smut. These images tell them that sex is easy to get and consequence-free--a dangerous message. Many of us guys eventually satisfy our curiosity and settle down and grow up a little.
Some of us never do, though, and behave embarrassingly well after they are old enough to know better.
At your age, you are meeting hormone-blasted boys who think that they're the only person in the world who is "inexperienced". They don't, by nature, think about diseases or pregnancy, so it is up to you to be mindful of these potential consequences.

Males have to seek sex. Otherwise, the human race would stop. Anyway, if you women would put out more, guys wouldn't be so desperate all the time...

I don't know.. but I'm a guy and I could care less about $ex. So it differs from person to person/ Some guys that all they are about others they could care less.
