We will not learn anything. It is simply part of a larger plan for the US to exercise their power in the word in hopes of gaining control of the world's oil.

Put it this way, if over the next 10 years the US put as much effort into finding an alternate fuel source than oil, instead of fighting countries who have oil, there would be no problems. I'm not saying the world would be totally at peace, but you wouldn't have the world hating the US!!

After reading some of the responses, here is some other bits to bit on:

1. Yes Isreal is fighting in Lebanon, but not against the Lebs, only the Hizzy's. For the last 6 years minimum, Isreal and Lebs have been on decent terms. Even the government of Lebanon does not support the Hezbollah movement. If the terrorists get too much support it will topple their govenment and hell would really break loose in that counrty

2. Hezbollah, not being supported by Lebanon, operates in numerous countries, but is supported by Syria, whose really big brother is Iran (who is in possesion of nukes), and the president of Iran has a main agenda which is to simply wipe Isreal off the map.

Why do you think Isreal is only going so far into Lebanon, not into any of the Syrian areas where the larger missles are being transported from Iran. Simply put, Isreal does one thing to Syria, Iran is in this thing huge. They have a large military force, one that would Rival the US, not beat, but rival. Once Iran is in, guess who would be next....the US, that's right, the US who is fighting a loosing battle in Iraq, but strangely has all the needed military assets close by, who could easily switch gears and target Iran.

First of all, there is no plan. and second of all, nothing backfired. This has just exposed the Lebanese citizens for who they are: supporters of terrorism. That must be why the Lebanese government never tried to disarm Hezbollah in the first place. Now we don't have to feel sorry for them.

The Lebanese only took sides with the Hezbollah because Israel is "accidentally" killing civilians in parts in Lebanon, and Hezbollah seems like the one that will save them.

You know what is different? We don't have any troops in this war. This is between Israel and Hezbollah. Besides, Lebanon is a terrorist state that wants to see Israel wiped off the map. I'm not surprised that they are supporting them, you should be either.
