In our pub, Skinner puts the bizarre questions. "If it was confirmed that an asteroid was about to smash into the earth, leaving only the USA to spin off and survive, would you rush over there?"

well, no
partly because im already here
but also because
the ocean would have created such an enormous wave that it would wipe out at least a third of the united states from each angle
so only 1/3 of the USA would be left
since both the Pacific and Atlantic surrounds us,
Then, since the earth is off balance now, we will float into space and either
freeze to death through a quick and very painful Ice Age of Eternal Death or we burn to death and disinigrate because we are passing by the planet Mercury headed straight for the sun at Mach 50,000,000
and that is all if we happen to somehow keep our atomosphere
which can't happen

if they were giving away free pizza at Dominoes would you leave your snuggely pub and rush over there?? Yes you would?? For the majority of humans have inferiority complexes that makes them want to get everything they can latch on to in order to make them feel better than the ones who dont have as much stuff. You would all be better off if you simply came to terms with yourself as individuals and realize that in the order of things you are all unique and special and just be content and amazed that you even existed in the first place. Then when your supposed asteroid is racing towards the destruction of the majority of earth's life. Instead of racing off like a frightened herd of cows in a thunderstorm, to trampel each other in your frenzy. You could sit back and enjoy one of the greatest fireworks display in peaceful tranquility. Not to mention you would reap the rewards of enjoying a few more beers that you would have missed while trying to fight your way to the promised land.

The USA will not just "spin off and survive." If the USA were to spin off the Earth, they would leave the atmosphere, and they wouldn't have any oxygen to breathe. I'm already over here, but if that we're to happen, we'd all be screwed.

End of story.

Have you never seen a disaster movie?!?

Asteroids will always gravitate towards the heart of New York City and Los Angeles, leaving our country devastatingly crippled!

I'd rush over there even if there wasn't an asteroid coming. the people are more friendly and the weather is better.

I can never happen - There will be no gravity, atmosphere etc. You can't create artificial stuff for many either - what about food? So you are better off dying anyway than suffer for a few more days.

Ehrm, no. I think I would rather die quickly like everyone else rather than slowly when the atmosphere disappeared, which it would when USA "spun off on its own".
