insert 2 dissimilar metals in either acidic or alkaline solution.
Copper & zinc or copper & nickle will work fine
attach a wire to each of the metal strips. Be sure to strip insullation about 1/2 inch from both ends of both wires.
connect a load (this can be meter, small lamp bulb, small alarm buzzer or bell) between the other 2 wires

You have a better chance in illuminating a low voltage LED that uses much less power than a light bulb.
Try layers of nickel, wet paper (wet with water) and galvanized washers. Each layer will provide 1.5 volts - Hence, the wet cell battery.
Get enough layers, you can light that LED.
One layer may be enough to power a simple digital wristwatch.

simple. take sulpuhuric acid and dip one dip one copper and one zinc rods in it and join the rods with the terminals of a small bulb and see the glowing light. have a gud experiment.
