You'll have to call your dept of motor vehicles and ask about a salveage title. Don't buy it until you know that you can obtain a legal means to own/license it. Otherwise you are buying a 3500 lb paper weight. There are many parts in the aftermarket for that style mustang. Just be prepared to spend some $$ as old cars tend to consume it.

Well, there wasn't a "Mustang" in 77. It was a Mustang II. The only real chassis difference from the pinto is the front crossmember and position of the rack and pinion steering unit. 66 and 77 are like the difference between a Town Car and an Escort. Good luck.

Most of the parts won't be compatible, probably none of them. A '77 Mustang is basically a tricked out Pinto. It's built on a Pinto chassis. Good luck with the '66, though. My first car was a '67 Mustang. Wish I still had it.

No parts will swap out. They are two different generations of cars. Back in those days there were parts that were not interchangeable from year to year like there are today.
