It is a difficult question. These fights are very rare in nature. Tigers only exist in Asia. Lions live in Africa; they once inhabited Asia, but they are very rare there today. Because lions and tigers live in different continents, a liger (hybrid of a male lion and a female tiger) is also very difficult to find in nature.
The obvious answer to the question would be the liger. Ligers are much bigger than both lions and tigers. A male liger may weigh as much as 1,100 lbs, the combined weight of a tiger and a lion. The problem is the liger, being a hybrid, has some behavioural conflicts. Because of that, the liger tends to be a bit "silly". The liger is not as fierce as a lion or a tiger and doesn't have the instinct to fight if attacked. Then, even being bigger and stronger, the liger will lose a fight to both the lion and the tiger, which are natural fighters.
The outcome of a lion-tiger fight is much more difficult to predict. The fight between these two big cats have fascinated men for ages. There are recorded videos of lions and tigers fighting and there was also an episode of Animal Face-Off which showed an hypotetic fight between them.
A Bengal tiger, the most common tiger subspecies, is bigger than the lion. A male tiger can reach over 700 lbs. It has a long and very strong body. The tiger must be a very efficient predator because he hunts alone: it can run very fast and carry its prey for long distances.
Lions are smaller. They hardly exceed 500 lbs. It has more power in its upper body and it is not fast. The lion is not a very good predator, but its job is easier because it hunts in groups. Lions are shorter in size than tiges, but they have a big head and can stand taller sometimes.
Due to its strenght, speed and size, tigers would win the fight. But some behavioural aspects must be taken into account.
First, we must consider the place the fight will take place. Tigers live in jungles and forests and are used to these places; they would easily kill lions in these places. A lion would have more advantage in open places.
Second, the lion has a mane which works a shield. Tigers like to attack the neck of their victims. But the male lion has a mane protecting its neck. There are some reports of fights between these animals which told the tigers were not able to attack the lions because they could not pass through the mane. As the mane protected the lions, the tigers lost these fights.
Third, lions live in groups and they are accostumed to facing other lions. They developed some sort of fighting strategy. Tigers don't usually fight each other, they just pursue their prey. So, a tiger may be scared when confronted to a lion. The lion will probably have no fear of the tiger. This is a big advantage to the lion.
Fourth, the outcome will also depend on the ferocity of the animal. The lion is more agressive than the tiger, so it has an advantage here. The Amur (Siberian) tiger is the largest subspecies, but it lacks ferocity. The Bengal tiger is much more aggressive and, because of that, it is a better fighter.
So, this is no easy question. In a fight among these three animals, the liger would probably be the loser. But both the lion and the tiger have good chances of winning. The tiger is bigger, stronger and faster and the lion has a mane, is more aggressive and accostumed to this kind of fight. The out will depend on the size, intelligence and ferocity of the particular animal.

The Tiger might win in my opinion. Lions usually attach other animals which are bigger then themselves - but - most of these animals are prey animals like buffalo s, wilderbeasts, and so on - also they almost always do a coordinated group attack. As you may have seen in many documentaries, lions are usually afraid to attack bigger animals that are not on their prey list - like for example elephants, rhinos, hippos, crocs, etc. So when faced with a liger, a lone lion might just be too afraid to attack simply because of the sheer size of the liger. Tigers on the other hand have been known to attack elephants, crocs, bears and other large animals - and these attacks are always the works of a lone tiger. When faced with a liger, the tiger may have no problem attacking the liger even though the liger is a much larger animal. Since ligers almost never exit in the wild, they may lack the necessary fighting skills to defend itself against the skilled tiger. So logically speaking, the tiger will be the clear winner if there was a fight where it and the lion were to face the liger in separate rings in separate matches. Now if you were to put a lion and a tiger in a ring - that would be something to watch - and it could really go either way - the tiger is larger, stronger, faster, has more agility, and is fearless - the lion has the mane, is taller, experienced fighter, and is also cautious - so it could really go either way - depending on location, depending on the individual animals and their experiences/health/age/physical condition/etc, weather conditions could also play a role, a tiger may have the upper hand if while fighting they fall in a water pond/river/lake/creek/etc and continue fighting in there, whereas a lion might have the upper hand if they were fighting in a hot desert type plane. Considering all factors, I would personally put my money on the tiger and here s the reason why:
-not all lions have manes (for example the tsavo lions, also the Asiatic lions have smaller manes, or lets a fight between a female tiger and female lion)
-the tiger doesn t only wins fights by attacking the neck area, it also has very powerful blows, and uses different fight strategies with different opponents or prey animals
-the tiger is bigger, stronger, and faster, and more agile at the same time
-lions easily get scared by bigger and stronger animals
-lions usually don t attack on their own
-I have seen documentaries where lions separated from their pride do not last for long
-tigers almost always live and hunt alone
-tigers have to fight other tigers to territory all the time so saying that they will be scared to fight another big cat is an inappropriate assumption
-I have seen a video where a tiger fought an opponent to death but did not back out
-whereas lions run at the first sight of danger
and that s why in my opinion which is based on facts and logical reasoning, I think the tiger would be the clear winner.

Definitely a liger..have you seen how big it is? It's like the size of 2 lions or tigers. It might even be able to take on one of each of the lions and tigers.

The Grhino...the tough skin would be adequate defense against the the fat-*** Liger's offense. I would say out of 10 fights to the death the Grhino would win at least 6 or 7.
