First of all, it's never too early to start thinking about college. I knew since I was 5 years old that someday I would go to college.

If you really know what you want to do for your career, then that's great. But I personally think it's better to go to college without deciding a major right away. For one thing, colleges are more likely to accept students with undecided majors. But also, even if you declare your major as a college Freshman, you will still have to take the same required courses as the undecided kids for the first two years, and by the time you are a Junior (when you have to declare your major) you might decide you want to major in something different.

When I was in high school I was sooo sure I wanted to be a doctor or a physical therapist. My advisor told me to go undecided, so I did. Then when I got to college I realized that I was much better at reading and writing, so I majored in English my Junior year. I went on to have a successful career in publishing and advertising. I know now that I never would have been able to cut it in medical school, as much as I was interested in medicine, I wasn't good enough at math and science.

It's never too early to be thinking about college. It's a good thing that you're prepared. At least you have some sort of idea of what you might want to do in the future. But still try and look at other options to see what you might like.

Its not too early. Probably your choice of colleges is going to change in the next two years, but whats good to do now is to do well in school and do something besides class. Get a job, join a club or sports team, those are what catches the eye of the admissions counselors and will be great when you have to write those admissions essays.

Never too early. I knew I wanted to go to college since I was 5 years old or so. I thought the high school on my street was a college and I told my parents I wanted to go there so I could live with them forever. I obviously changed my mind about that. Anyway, keep reaching for your goal... it sounds like a good one, and one which is completely attainable if you try hard in school. Good luck!

It isn't normal but it is a good thing. I think having goals is important. If you don't have them then how do you reach them. Go to fastweb.com and start applying for scholarships now. This is insane but there are so many scholarships that are only available in your freshman and sophomore years. I wasn't able to go to my top choice not because I didn't get in but because I couldn't pay for it. That hurt a lot.

It's never too early to plan for college. I suggest working on spelling.

heres the thing...

its never "too early" to start..

but just be aware that like, in 2 years, you mite be wanting to be something else (aka not a vet or teacher etc, but instead a lawyer or banker)

so dont get too attached to any one place, because it will prolly change year to year

Finally a teen on here thinking about something worthwhile instead of sex, and you are worried that it's not right?!?!?!
That's crazy!!! Be proud of yourself for thinking about improving your future rather than screwing it up like so many other teens on here!
