My wife was waist deep in a lake when she was 12 and lightening struck the surface. She immediately went numb from the waist down. It took her a couple of hours to return to normal and has had no known lasting effects. However, she now gets OUT of the water when storms are near!

i develop into on the sea coast once after I referred to lightening hit the water, yet when I remember properly, salt water does no longer habit electricity besides as clean water so i don't think of it killed many fish.
