A false positive has never happened that i know of b/c the test measures the pregnancy hormone. Either you are or you aren't. But you can definitely have a test say negative and be wrong. It has happened to me twice! So, if it said positive it's positive!

Statistically, a being pregnant attempt shows the incorrect answer someplace between 0 and 10 % of the time, so there's a ninety% risk of the answer being splendid. in case you're taking 2 self sustaining being pregnant checks, the answer ought to statistically be (a million- (0.a million)^2)*100% = ninety 9% splendid. 3 provides a ninety 9.9% correctness and so on even if, the nature of a incorrect answer in a being pregnant attempt isn't a organic statisitcal phenomenon. rather many times, it has to do with organic and organic themes like your body generating the chemical substances/hormones/besides the reality that your being pregnant attempt is searching for, yet for another reason than an easily being pregnant. The attempt discovers the chemical substances/hormones/besides the reality that and tells you precisely that; that the chemical substances/hormones/besides the reality that is modern and that this frequently signifies that you're, in reality, pregnant. in case you're taking yet another attempt with an identical equipped in flaw and the different checks can provide you an identical outcome, you'll likely (ninety 9% of the time) haven't any better understanding. The statistical situation of independedness is extremely ineffective to that end because no remember what percentage checks you're taking, the guidelines yielded has a equipped in flaw. a sturdy decision ought to be to manage kinds of being pregnant checks. your appropriate decision ought to be to go on your physician.

highly unlikely. home pregnancy tests are very accurate. a positive is usually a positive. a negative can be false. if you have a doubt--buy a different brand. now, i have heard that you can get positives if you have had a miscarriage. sometimes the pregnancy hormone can stay in the system. however a blood test will show those levels declining.

EPT is pretty right. You have taken 4 of them right? And they are all positive.. I took EPT when I found out that I was pregnant.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE HERE!! - I have two children and I used EPT with both of them. With my Daughter I used 5 of them and got a false. Then on the 6th one I used it was sketchy. I went to see my OB/GYN and viola I was pregnant! Five years later I had that feeling and so I went through 3 cheap preg. kits and 7 EPT's that said I was false. My husband reminded me of how they were wrong with our daughter, so I went in to see my doc and viola, I was pregnant again. Error proof my ***! See your doctor for sure hun.

false positive is allot harder to get then a false negative because your body has to produce a certain hormone in order for the test to come up positive and the only time it does that is when ur pregnant

The chance of a false postive is pretty good. My ex-father-in-law is a pharmacist and he never had anything good to say about those over-the-counter pregnancy tests. He always tells customers to go to their doctor or planned parenthood and get tested.
