Yes, and I can prove it to you. Go to Yahoo Sports and click on Nascar at the top.

Yes it is and let me tell you why...
The pit crews have to work out daily in order to stay in shape to finish the pit stops in 15 seconds... the driver's have to have stamina to finish a 500 mile 4 1/2 hour race in 140 degree temperatures (inside the car). They lose so much fluid during this time they have to keep hydrated and prepare for this days in advance.
Besides climbing fences and doing flips isn't something most people do!

NASCAR is the great American waste-time. Brain dead trailer trash watching cars drive in a circle while inhaling exhaust fumes. Little wonder they support Bush.

Sure---just cuz the driver isn't getting all sweaty doesn't mean its not a sport. If you had to use muscle and sweat to be considered a sport then golf sure wouldn't be either

Yes, just like bowling is. NASCAR requires: strength, flexibility, timing, endurance, intelligence, quick-thinking. Need I go on???

i would have to disagree with f4fanatic..... you do get tremendously sweaty !!!!!!!! try being in a car going 180mph and concentrating on the road for 2 hours in 100degree heat in the car ...... with gear on! try that for not being a sport .dont you ever wonder why they are drinking coke or gatorade after a race it is becuase they are so dehydrated from being in a 100 degree heat in the car ! so ahahaha

No...it's just a sport for drunken rednecks.
It's like saying Cheerleading, bowling and golf is a sport--what a lie! Bowling and golf only consists of skills, and that's it.
