A woman can be elected President -- if you mean President of the United States, that is. I would vote for a woman, but although it would be good to break that gender barrier, it is even more important to break the partisan barrier and elect an independent, regardless of gender.

If I had to place a bet now, I'd bet that Hillary Clinton will win the next Presidential election. I would never have guessed that before, but it's looking more and more realistic.

If she were the best person for the job, I absolutely would vote for a woman. What do you mean by "assuming all the laws were ammended and it was possible"? I'm assuming you're in the United States. If so, then things like gender and race are irrelevant. If not, where are you?

I would vote for a female for president if I thought she was the best candidate. I don't think the laws need to be changed. There's no reason a female can't already be president.

Where are you from? There are no laws against female heads of state in most civilized countries. Anyway, to answer your question, yes, gender doesn't matter. If I agree with her platform I would vote for a female president.

What country are you living in? *LOL* We can already have a female President. Yes I would IF I thought they were the best candidate. I'd hate to think Hillary Clinton would be my choice. That would be worse then Bush ove Gore or Bush over Kerry.

Although I do not feel that I personally would have a problem with a female president, I feel that the idea is still not within the spectrum of american politics. But yes, assuming that one was running and I agreed with her political views, I would vote for her. (WOOT Hillary!)

I wouldn't, because it would be a wasted vote - like voting for Nader... The Us will, maybe have a female VP in the next 25 years, but not a female president.

As far as I know, there is no law requiring the President to be male...I would vote for a woman if she was right for the job...

I would vote for a female president. I honestly think the idea of having men only for president is very sexist.
