The Geek Squad is a VERY real deal. All the Agents for the Geek Squad have to be A+ Certified and also Microsoft Certified. They know all the in's and out's of the computer world and how to make technology do what YOU the consumer want it to do. The outfit is a little silly but it is there marketing ploy. If you ever see a Geek Squad Agent or the Geek Mobile, that image sticks in your head and you will remember them if you ever have trouble. I would have to say that they are doing one heck of a job. Trust the Geek Squad, they know what they are talking about.
As far as "will the business continue?" you Better believe it!! The Geek Squad Services are a huge part of Best Buy's profits. Their services are 80 points of margin and produced $2 billion in earnings last year alone. The previous year they only produced $800 thousand. With increased awareness of the company (Geek Squad) and increased double agents (the guys that come to your home), they will most likely hit $4 billion this year.

Did you really think about what you are asking?
While I have a doubt about future success of the business, it IS a serious business. If their employees didn't posess the knowledge and skills required to do what they promise they do, it won't be able to sustain their business this long.
Using your theory, what do you think those "agent" will do when they show up at customer's site, and successfully come back with their fees paid?
