I just don't get it! i mean what can be the product of a gay marriage?!!!! children?! i don't think so.
So what is the point? in order to make their adopted children confortable with the situation?! they won't be no matter what the parents do to make it appear acceptable, it's not easy growing up having two moms or two dads. Tell me what ya think!

they dont
The definition of marriage is very clear and it cannot allow for marriage of same sexes.
That same sex people go through ceromonies is because they feel the need to fit in and cant create teir own identities so they have to yet again attempt to hijack words used for specific reason

If that is all marriage is about - the production of children then that is a poor look out for society.

People get married for many reasons but generally the main reason is because they love the other person and want to show the owrld their commitment to each other.

Now if the couple is a Man and Woman it is given the title marriage where as (in UK at least) if it is between a Man and a Man or a Woman and a Woman it is a Civil Partnership with the same rights under law as a married couple. The law here still states that marriage is the union of man and woman. But for all intents and purposes the civil partnership is the same thing.

One big arguement right now is why can't a man and woman enter into the same civil partnership. A point the Gay Rights people made during the discussion on the issue.

As for growing up with 2 mums or 2 dads I know many people who grow up perfectly normal with 2 of each thanks to divorce. Personally I think it makes no difference as long as you are brought up in a loving stable home.

So don't judge people just accept it happens and let them get on with their lives. If we all just lived and let lived life would be a whole lot easier for everyone.

good question, if you dont understand why gay people are gay, then fair enough, just dont judge. Its hard enough for gay people. They want to get married for love mainly, but when a gay couple has been together for 50 years, the other dies and the partner is left with nothing, as there is no commitment or any reason to say they were even together. They need security also.

Whether you agree with it or not:

Gays marry for the same reason as any straight couple do: because they love one another & want to show that love & commitment to each other, and the world!!

They also want to be able to have the same rights in Law as straight couples: i.e. the right to give consent for an operation... the right to stay in the family home... the rights over any children, etc!!

Gay people marry for the same reasons straight people marry. Growing up isn't easy, period. I don't know that it would be much harder to grow up with two parents of the same sex rather than have parents who are emotionally abusing each other and never get along. And THAT happens all the time.

Gays have rights like everyone else. If they wanna marry so be it, they can do that, if they so desire. Some don't want children so what does it matter?!? Live and let live. Stop judging people for who they are and what they do.

Same reason straight people get married to show their love and commitment to everyone and eachother. Not all straight married couples have children either.

Wouldn't you want to marry the person you love???
When you love someone and are committed to them marriage is usually the next step. Why should it be any different with same sex people??

its cause these gay people want to commit themselves to one another and show how they love each other, it may not be easy accepting this but its the truth
