You need to get serious about school. It needs to become your first priority, above friends and other activities. If you CAN'T understand subjects in school you may need to hire a tutor or ask a friend to help you through the class. Most important however, is hard work. Remember the feeling of not being sure you will get into the U, and this will help motivate you to stay focused. Good luck!

You don't say what year, but I assume you are in High School and possibly a Senior.
What are you having trouble with? Identify your strengths and weaknesses and obtain tutoring in the areas in which you are deficient, while polishing the skills you already posses.
Have you taken the SA T's? This test is usually required for University entrance and can help you to identify areas that need work.
You might want to think about practicing on written communication. Like most inter-net users, you have fallen into lazy written communication skills and you are using abbreviations that aren't correct, as well.
Higher education is a privilege, not a right. Entrance to a College or University is something you must earn. Part of becoming an adult is learning that you don't get anything without effort.
Good luck! I hope that you are able to continue your education and that your future is filled with promise.

life is a continum...just because you don't go to uni straight after high school doesn't mean that you'll never go. I went to uni straight after high school and dropped out 6 months into it...because I was burnt out...I only went to uni because that's what I thought I had to do...which is crap. I suggest that if you don't do well enough or whatever you take a year to off uni to work, travel, and get some life experience, it make you a better uni student anyway. I went back to uni at 26 after stuffing around for a long time. And I love it, I'm still there...hahaha...so don't worry about life gives you what you need, not always what you want,
Good luck...

1, Tell this to each of your teachers and ask them for help in how to study for their course(s).
2. Talk to your school principal about the same thing and ask for study advice.
3. Get a college-level textbook at your local libraray on how to study in general, study for tests and study effectively. Ask about the Harvard Study Method. Too comlicated to explain here but it IS GOOD.
4. And study ahead. Get a course guide from each teacher even if informal. Find out which chapters are going to be cover and in what order, what special asssignment there are going to be and the value of each grade element--such as tests, papers, class participation.
5. Related to 4, above. Once you have the course guide, read ahead at least one week and stay ahead one week. That way, you will be prepared for the classroom instruction and will know your confusion areas and can ask questions to clear them up.
OK---outline each chapter after you read it and then check the instruction against your outline. Try to read to anticipate key areas that will or could show up on a test.
In short--become a full-time student as if you have a job--which in fact you do. Sound like a lot? No--this is exactly what you will do at Uni when you get there. (In public school, the teachers do everything they can to help you pass. In college, the professors do everything they can to fail you. Honest truth!)

Talk to your counselor and check and see what are the classes you need help in. My daughter did this and we got her a calculus tutor. She is now in graduate school. Listen to your school counselor. That's what they are there for.
