Slightly left of center because I find that both sides bring good ideas to the table.
Fiscally, I can be somewhat conservative, but it's the social issues that push me more towards the left.

Left wing. People who want to see things change for the better belong to this side. People who want things to stay just the way they are are on the right side. And we know that nothing's going right at the present time. So the right wing's platform is built on the idea that everything is just peachy. It's a bunch of horse crap. Left wing....

The labels are increasingly a media creation, and therefore irrelevant. One of the worst things happening to America right now is the separating of the public into two "sides", where the need to support your "side" is more important than actually analyzing the issues and coming to a decision about what's best for everyone. People are approaching politics on an emotional rather than intellectual level, now, and it's because of this constant emphasis on "right wing" versus "left wing", "democrat" versus "republican", "liberal" versus "conservative," etc. It'll mean the end of democracy if we keep thinking about what team we're on instead of which country we live in.

Left wing. It's just that the horrible jobs the conservatives have done made me go left wing. Besides Bush is a conservative and if that doesn't make you become left wing then I don't know what will.

I used to be a far left-winger. Lately though I've moved towards the middle. I know I'll never switch to right wing but I'm tired of far-liberals and their egos. It embarasses me. Extremist conservatives do the same thing... Just people who share my side of the fence seem to bother me more.
Frankly, I'm only slightly on the left.

A plane cannot fly with only one wing.
The left wing may see problems sooner than the right wing, but they seldom have effective solutions.
The right wing may be slower in seeing the problems, but their solutions are usually better.

When I was in my early 20s I was pretty Libertarian and to the right- listened to Rush.
After that brief period I have pretty much been left wing-now I listen (and love) Randi Rhodes.

I'll admit up front that at this time in my life, I lean towards the left. However, I do not consider myself to be an extremist and I like to think of myself as a moderate liberal.
