One of the things served by blind acceptance of the Holocaust is the Jewish state of Israel. If they get any serious opposition, they play the Holocaust card and quickly silence their opponents, whether they be politicians, historians or journalists.

The effect this has had on the world is devastating. Just look at Palestine and Lebanon! Israel is making full use of the BILLIONS and BILLIONS of tax-dollars worth of American military equipment the politicians and US tax payers have given them! To date, they have killed well over 300 civilians and created over 500,000 refugees! And all the victims who survive know who gave Israel the jets, helicopters and missiles and bombs they’re using against them and their families. This, of course, creates more recruits for bin Laden and much more danger for the US.

It makes good sense to disconnect the scholarly debate of the Holocaust Narrative and the immoral actions encapsulated in the Zionist project. Even if the Holocaust and the persecution that preceded it had been ten times as horrific, it would not have justified the Zionist project. Further, even if the Holocaust were considerably less extensive, it would still, in all probability, have been abused to generate that sense of victimhood and semblance of righteousness that has nourished the Zionist project.

Further, clumsily portraying the connection between the Holocaust and Palestinian suffering endangers Palestinian rights, because it plays into the hands of Zionists. The strategy of using Holocaust revisionism to focus on the immorality of Zionism provides fertile ground for the Zionist rhetoric of victimhood and fear. This is especially dangerous because it is precisely this Israeli mentality of victimhood which must be overcome if Palestinian suffering is to be acknowledged, let alone addressed.

Basically, yes, the Zionist regime in Israel does in fact use the Holocaust as a tool to gain sympathy. But if one is educated and knows better, they will see that what Israel is doing has nothing to do with protecting their country. They are mass murdering thousands every year and getting away with it simply because of the media control they posses as well as the threats of so called "pro Israeli" lobbyists such as AIPAC. It is really a disgrace to humankind and should be dealt with. Israel's greed has led to the loss of too many innocent lives and should be stopped IMMEDIATELY.

I really do think the Israeli gov't is using and has used the Holocaust as a foundation for all of it's foreign relations. I can't believe the world has let them get away with it. In reality, the only reason the state of Israel exists today is because Europe didn't want to deal with the "Jewish problem." I love Jewish people...they're awesome, but I swear, their political leaders are almost as crazy as ours. After seeing what death and destruction can do to people, I can't believe they'd do the same kind of crap. I guess after losing everything in the Holocaust, they're bent on protecting the little bit they've got left. I guess that makes some sense.

It hadn't struck me that Israel has been using the Holocaust as their wild-card in the Middle East, but it seems to make sense. I had originally supported Israel in the recent attacks but now I'm not so sure they're right. They've ignored warnings from the UN and even killed four UN peacekeepers. They have gone too far in playing the victim, and the unrest in the Mideast is partially their fault.
