I teach high school. The main thing in my classes are to do your homework. I have many students that could be A students, but they simply do no do their homework consistantly, and it ends u pbringing down their quiz and test grades as well. If you do your homework consistantly each night, you might be surprised. Of course this also includes studying for your tests and quizzes, as well. Finally if you are getting stuck on a concept, ask to meet your teacher after class to go over the material. Only about 20% of the students I suggest come for extra help actually do-- and the one's that do usually find that it helps. I also keep this in mind when calculating grades (and figuring out that mysterious "participation" aspect of the grade).

Well the difference between an A and a B is the difference between 89.9 and 90 % , so always get in those extra points, do whatever you can to get ahead and look at each assignment as a way to make a good impression for your teachers. Remember B's are still good grades, so don't be too hard on yourself if they keep showing up, it's better than average.

First ask yourself why you want all A grades. Do you want to go to college? What is it you want to do in college? Having all A's simply for the sake of it is a waste of energy and time. Focus your energies on subjects that will serve you best for the path you wish to take in life. Once you work that out, the other answers to this question have already explained the best strategy.

You may have to sacrifice sleep some days if your schedule is a little over the top, but regular studying, doing all your homework (correctly), note taking, asking questions for things you dont understand, and extra credit work really help. Cramming does not.

The best way is to make your self visible to the teacher. Ask him/her at the beginning of the semester about course material and what the criteria is for getting an A. Is it just tests or combination of projects, homework, etc. If necessary, consider getting a tutor.

Do all your homework and always double check your answers. This will reinforce the learning and you will do better on the tests than if you didn't take time to go over each lesson more than once. Try to use your free time at school doing homework or going over what was just taught.

Good luck!

Don't slack off! I remember when i was in high school, i would get C's and D's all the time until i hit my last year of high school. I realized that if i couldn't get my marks up..i wouldn't be getting into university/college. I think its better to psych yourself out..sometimes feeling worried and trying to finish your work on time isn't a bad thing

spend more time studying, on a regular basis, dont do cram sessions-they backfire as you find yourself drooling onto the test you promised yourself youd ace! (haha no i didnt do that, but i know a similar story!)
do your best and know that perfection is not an option, practice makes habbit and the best you can do for yourself is hard @ss-busting work-NEVER cheats! too many go bad that way and then loose more than a grade...
