Definitely do. Any song that came out in 94 or 95 instantly makes me think of how much happier I was when my husband was still alive. I totally go back in time. Great, now you're gonna make me all nostalgic and I'm gonna cry. GEE THANKS!!!!!!

Yes I do that too. Unfortunately some songs bring back great memories, some not so great memories. We tend to unconsiously relate the music to the events in our lives. I love when you're driving in the car and some great song on the radio brings back a memory of your childhood or growing up and it puts you in the best mood. I always feel the need to call up old friends and talk about the "old days!"

Sometimes, I think it depends on the things that were going on in your life when the song came out. If there were some significant reminders Im sure you would remember but other then that Im sure the memory would dwindle off a few years after.

That was a good question,,,, When I here the song "the lion sleeps tonight" I think about when I was in 6th grade. Our sixth grades teacher reminded me of Richard Dryfuss the actor. (I never missed a day of school that year ) and every friday after lunch was Free Day,,,,and the whole class would have a "jacks"
tournament and he would let us have the radio on,,,and that song allways came on. Thanks Mr. Roads !!

When I hear "Popcorn" and "Loves Me Like a Rock" I think of camping in Port Clinton, Ohio many moons ago.

Absolutely! Certain songs bring back specific memories. Money for nothing, reminds me of my high school boyfriend. He used to play it on his electric guitar for me.

Ah, you must be just a bit younger than me, then.

That was a golden time in my life, in my early 20s and living large without a dime to spare.
