90% or higher= Excellent
89% or Lower= Resubmit please

Ok is that unreasonable or what?

Why is it unreasonable? The goal is to not "just pass" but to be able to effectively apply the lessons to pratical applications. Besides, the testing required to prove one was actually homeschooled is much harder than the testing required within public schools. There has to be a cut off point and that teacher's is 89%. You would not usually get a second chance to resubmit in the workplace.

Reasonable, I'd say.

I would additionally say that if 89% or below is a no-return failing grade, then that's unreasonable. But if you have the option of improving, correcting mistakes, and bringing the paper up to a better standard and then resubmitting it for another shot at a grade, why I wish I had that kind of grading system when I was in school.

The 90% or higher sounds reasonable. The 89% and below is unreasonable.

Depends on how hard the class is...also, it depends on whether you are taking the class willingly or not. If it's for enrichment purposes, then it's not unreasonable because you willingly submitted yourself to it. If it's summer school for failing a class or something, it's unreasonable because passing a class and doing okay in it does not mean you have to get an A.

Wow, 90% is "excellent"? That's pretty lenient. But the numbers matter less than how the teacher grades. Of course, if the class improves your writing, then it's all worth it, isn't it?

Yes it is. That's a little over the top. Can they do that? I would talk to someone about the situation.

that is reasonable, the public school system needs to get harder one way or the other. High school was just too easy

thats retarded.....1% is the difference between an excellent paper/assignment/exam, and a pathetic grade worthy of a re-take.
