Just like all Americans citizens are not reflected in the actions of the US government. Israel, the State, is not reflective of all the Jewish people. what scares me is ideologues who assume the two are synonymous with eachother. Judaism itself, is not a bad relgion, neither is Islam, nor Buddhism. We cannot hold an entire people responsible for the actions of their government any more than we can hold an entire religion responsible for actions of factions who claim association with the relgious groups.

all the white powers should unite and rid the world of terrorists.... then maybe the -oops-
anyways, at first egyt and some other arab countries supported Israel because Hezzbola started the conflict, now they are coming to Hezzbolah's aid cuz israel is "continuing and overacting" as a result of the kidnapped solders. So only in the arab states has world opinion turned on the jews.

What surprises me is the world isn't backing the Israelis more. I'm surprised the Lebanese people aren't telling Hezbollah to get out of their country and don't come back.
I'm not Arab or Jew so I don't have a dog in this fight. Hezbollah IS a terrorist organization that has long vowed to eliminate the nation of Israel.
What would your country do if someone who vowed to destroy your country kidnapped some of YOUR soldiers? Would you do nothing? Would you take your complaint to the UN? OR would you attack the organization that took your soldiers?

World opinion has always been thus toward the Jews, it is nothing new. If we stand with Israel, and I think we should, we will continue to be a target too. It is never popular to stand up for what is right and often it costs a great deal.

A close look at the history and the specifics is revealing that this may not be a situation of good vs. evil. it might be 2 evils going at one another. Its like 2 bratty kids chuking rocks at one another, and then one kid goes and gets his big brother to fight the battle for him (US). Its is becoming apparent that the US/Israel alliance might be a marriage made in hell.

World opinion is against Israel at the moment, I think, but it's naught to do with Judaism, directly.
