It's not a possibility; it's already a reality. Filming has already wrapped seeing as the 2nd and the 3rd were shot at the same time. The third is coming out during the year '07.
This is because of how incredibly sucessful the first one was; people were sure that the second and the third would do incredibly well.

My daughter saw the movie and she came home stating that there will be a third movie because the way the movie ended.

there is man u r slow, they filmed the 2nd and 3rd back to back although i do not believe filming has begun yet, little break for the cast
