Enlightment means knowledge about one's self.... so I'd say, "Strive always to better know yourself." If you'd like it simple (with deep hidden layers of meaning, then transform that into "Where ever you go, there you are!"

If you'd prefer something more "poetic," I'd say, "To thine own self, be true."

Or finally, perhaps you'd just like to consider the realities of life without any of the fanfare... in that case, I'd suggest to you, "Time is best spent if you take time to periodically review & assess held assumptions, beliefs, pet ideas, and general goals you've made for yourself... epistemological investigations can be your best ally to help ward off bad decisions before you make them, or follow though with them." More succinctly, "Foundations & support systems are important - essential; ask any architect... you ARE the chief architect of your life's paths. Choose wisely."

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorius triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Thought I'd go to the experts, whom I here paraphrase: :-)

God: "I AM."

Buddha: "We aren't."

Jesus: "Love God with everything you have, love your neighbor like you love yourself."

Moses: "Keep the law."

Muhammed: "Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave."
