im talking about 4 to 5 years down the road, especially transmission and cooling long term reliability

down the road the chevy is definetly better. ashes to ashes dust to dust if it wasn't for ford, our tools would be rust.

Head to head they would probably be the same with the trailblazer being better in the transmission department if we were talking about 5 years ago... quality now I think is pretty much even but look at sites that rank the quality of those vehicles after ownership and see for yourself...

I've never had any luck with Chevy's. I have a 1995 Ford Explorer now. It still runs great. The only problem is that sometimes when it's really hot and has been sitting in the sun, it doesn't want to start. You have to put it in neutral and press the gas for a few minutes. After that, it runs fine. It never does it at night or in cooler weather. We don't know why it does that.
